You can combine query aliases: (1 OR 2) AND DOCTYPE = "MEMO" The preceding query groups all records contained in 00001 and 000002, and of those records, only returns those documents that have a DOCTYPE value of MEMO. Referencing a query by its number causes a query to execute more quickly than if you use the full search syntax. This technique will work for other web servers as well, but the advantage of using a script following the pattern of these /t/optional_* tests in the Catalyst-Runtime distribution is that all the server setup is taken care of automatically in the script. optional_lighttpd-fastcgi-non-root.t and optional_lighttpd-fastcgi.t: These two tests do the same thing for lighttpd as the Apache scripts do for Apache. Hopefully, one day someone will write a harness for testing the engines under the nginx web server as well.

You can hide the status bar by selecting View Status bar. When the menu item has a check mark, the status bar is visible; when the menu item is toggled so there s no check mark, the status bar is hidden.

There is essentially one scenario in which it is desirable to deploy your application with the built-in server: when you have a single-user application, and you don t make significant use of asynchronous browser requests (e.g., Ajax calls), you can just run the test server and point your browser to http://localhost:3000 (or http://127.0.0.1:3000 if you re on a network that doesn t like you to use the localhost domain name). However, this reaches limits quickly. If you have a very small number of users on a local network, and you don t make use of asynchronous requests, then the standard built-in server is acceptable, although you ll almost certainly want to turn on the fork option with the -fork flag, which creates a new process for each request and therefore allows limited asynchronous requests to occur, so that two users can request a page concurrently: $ script/myapp_server.pl -fork
